when maud was little, she use to have lots of freckles, like lots, and she was really insecure about them. sometimes when she went to the beach, she would deliberately stay in the water all day so no one could see her freckles but the fishes. her family would say that she was like a seal , because she was in the water all the time, but really she was just hiding from everyone seeing her freckles.

what a sweet story! i used to feel that way about my freckles too, and i remember being so embarassed when grownups would say like "oh your freckles are so cuuuuute!". i hated them. strange, because now that i'm older i would want them back on my face... *sighs*
